Welcome to the Focus Consultants LPG Engineers website, where we offer LPG design, installation and maintenance services.

Who are we?

Dave and Jo Blakemore launched their LPG engineering partnership in September 2006, using Dave’s practical skills and knowledge of LPG bulk storage for commercial, agricultural and domestic markets. In May 2009 the business became a limited company.

We now have a team of 3 Gas-Safe Registered Engineers, Jaime Dixon, Malcolm Fieldsend and Martin McLeod, and a Trainee, Richard Ridley. In July 2011 we appointed Peter McKittrick as Pipelayer.


We are Gas-Safe registered, are members of UKLPG, and Associate members of the Institute of Gas Engineers and Managers (IGEM).

Where are we?

Based in Hexham, Northumberland, we serve customers throughout the mainland UK, and in July 2011  established an engineering presence in Worcester in order to better serve customers in the Welsh Borders, Hereford, Shropshire and the South West.

Focussing on your needs

We offer a “start to finish” service for LPG suppliers and end users:

  • Full consultation at the planning stage
  • Specification and design of bulk LPG storage requirements
  • Specification and design of pipework and controls, regulators, meter boxes
  • Sourcing of appropriate materials
  • Sourcing of sub-contractors, e.g. groundwork, electrical works
  • Installation of LPG storage vessels
  • Installation of pipework, controls, meter boxes
  • Testing and commissioning
  • Periodic inspection and maintenance
  • Emergency response
  • Safety/product training of client’s staff
Additionally, we offer a 10-year tank testing service for LPG bulk tank suppliers
